Galloway’s Holy Week Prayer Vigil is open today from 9am to 2pm in the Chapel. Jesus hears your prayer. As you enter the chapel, take a card, sit down and write your prayer, and hang your card on the prayer cross on your way out. We will share these requests with our Wednesday Healing and Wholeness Service which is invited to anyone and meets every Wednesday from 1215 to 1245pm. We also invite you to engage the Courtyard Cross Meditation and visit Galloway’s Gathering Area to veía Holy Week art from the VSA MS Community Art Group. Pastors will be available in the Chapel Narthex for anointing from 11 to 11:45am which is before the 12p noon Good Friday service in the sanctuary. Please join us for the service and a light meal following in The Foundery. Inclement weather, and tonight’s Maundy Thursday service Friends, we are watching weather forecasts for our area this afternoon and this evening, as well as the significant possibility of flash flooding in our area. We can tell you this much at present: If there is a tornado warning in effect at 5:00 pm, the 6:00 pm Maundy Thursday service will be cancelled. You are invited to the Holy Week Prayer Vigil. Pick up a prayer card and guide to the prayer stations in the Galloway’s Chapel windows which center around the narrative of Holy Week. Also, engage in a walking meditation in Galloway’s courtyard. The chapel will be open during normal church hours of operation, and we will have pastors available for prayer and anointing in the narthex of the Chapel at the following times: Wednesday, April 17 12:15- 1:00 p.m. (Service of Healing and Wholeness with Holy Communion) Thursday, April 18 - before and after 6pm Maundy Thursday Communion Service in Sanctuary (5:00- 5:45 p.m. and 7:00-7:30 p.m.) Friday, April 19 - before and after Good Friday Noon service in the Sanctuary) 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You may wish to take time to view paintings in our Gathering Area which reflect events associated with the crucifixion and redemption of Jesus.
